Steam Trap Flanged

Steam Trap Flanged

Steam Traps; It is the name given to the device used to separate condensed water, condensate and steam from each other. This product, which has a very important place in steam systems, is also known as a steam trap or steam trap. It aims to evacuate the stream trap in steam lines or steam devices from the steam line with the condensate trap with different models. In this way, it keeps the steam in the system.

When the working principle of the stream trap is examined, it can be easily seen that it has a simple but very effective principle. These devices, which are connected to the exit points of the equipment using steam and to the steam supply lines at certain intervals, ensure the evacuation of non-condensable gases and air in the system. In addition, they also undertake the task of discharging the condensate and keeping the steam in the equipment. Extremely easy to maintain and use, steam traps also play a major role in reducing operating costs. It also aims to increase the safety of the system.

Steam Traps; It is a simple device that works by opening the fluid path with the buoyancy of the water as a result of the accumulation of condensate in the float system and expelling the steam trap. When there is not enough steam trap left in the body of the condensstop, the float system closes and the steam remains in the installation. In this way, steam loss in the installations is minimised and energy consumption is reduced.

It is important how the condensers are connected to the installations. It must be connected as specified on the product. While the arrow sign shown on the product indicates the fluid direction, the arrow sign shown on the label indicates the working direction of the float.

Since steam traps are constantly active in steam systems, they must be maintained. Whether the steam trap fulfils its function can be checked with the equipment added on the line or with measuring devices.

Steam Trap can be installed in installations as threaded or flanged. There is no difference between the operating systems.

Discharge capacity is very important in condensers. The discharge capacity graph must be obtained from the manufacturer and the correct product must be selected according to the differential pressure at which the system will operate. There are two important factors that determine the amount of condensate. The first of these is the differential pressure and the other is the orifice diameter used in the design of the steam trap. Orifice diameter and differential pressure are inversely proportional.

Advantages of steam traps;

* It is very ideal in automatic systems.

* Since it works according to the density difference, high amount of steam trap can be discharged even at very low pressures.

* Thanks to the capsule inside, it also discharges unwanted gases in the system.

Disadvantages

* Frequent inspection and maintenance is required for continuous operation.

* Low resistance against water impacts (ram impact).
